No habeas cases to be heard this week.
On the same day that The Lincoln Lawyer came out, another quasi-legal movie was released called Win Win. Paul Giamatti plays the main character who is an elder-law lawyer. But the movie is not viewed as a legal movie. Actually, it is considered a wrestling picture because the main character moonlights as a high school wrestling coach and more of the story focuses on that.
I only bring it up because it allows me to give a shout out to my favorite wrestling picture of all time -- Vision Quest. Is there any other worth talking about? It is such an under-appreciated movie. I must have watched it at least two dozen times when I was in high school (it also helped that my younger brother was a wrestler and would explain to me why they were giving out points).
Here is a clip from the movie, which includes one of the most anthemic songs of all time, "Lunatic Fringe" by Red Rider. Who wouldn't be ready to wrestle Shute after watching this scene? Enjoy:
