No updates on the actual Chatigny nomination.
But the right-wing has continued to try to use his nomination as an election issue. Over the past couple of days, I have seen numerous things around the internet about how Democratic candidates should be asked, "Does [such and such candidate] approve of judges giving a pass to sexual sadists who rape and murder girls?" Actually, it's mostly been directed at Senator Boxer in California. But, as I mentioned before, it popped up a lot around the time of the primaries.
This most recent go-around is mostly just a copying and pasting of a incendiary column written by someone named Wendy Wright. It's basically the same column that was written before (which may have also been written by Wright, doesn't really matter). And just like last time, the right-wing has mindlessly posted and reposted it. At this point, I am not sure whether this stuff has had any impact beyond the echo chamber on the right-wing.
