Although it was announced last week, the New York Law Journal notes today in its News in Brief that District Court Judge Robert N. Chatigny has been nominated for the Second Circuit. The article gives similar background info about the judge that was contained in the press release, which I quoted here. The Law Journal does include a nice picture of the judge.
The article points out that Chatigny will fill the seat that was vacated by Judge Calabresi when he took senior status. I guess that makes it a "Connecticut" seat.
Finally, the article notes that Judge Denny Chin still awaits a vote from the full Senate. Who knows when that will ever happen.
